Melody
My Birthday: October 17, 1996
My Gender: Female
My Home: Generosity House, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe
My Story:
Hi, my name is Melody. I have two younger sisters (twins) who also live with me here at Generosity House. Sometimes I feel like I'm already an adult because I have had to do a lot to help raise my two younger sisters. They tell me I get along well with everyone. I really enjoy going to school. I'm a little behind for my age because I had to wait to start school until I came to Mustard Seed Communities Zimbabwe. I'm catching up quickly. My favorite subjects are math and Ndebele.
I really like all the "helping" I do, so when I grow up I want to be a doctor! I especially enjoy taking care of younger children. I just like to smile and laugh with all my friends, especially my best friends Dorcusiruth (at school) and Privilege (at home). My sisters like to work in the fields but it's not "my cup of tea." I'll leave that work to them. I like to work inside and I help my house mom out with a lot of things at Generosity House. I cook, help clean the house and wash clothes. I love going to church and performing. I'm a member of the Missionary Children and we get to sing and perform in church. It is really fun!
Thanks! Melody
Background:
Both of Melody's parents passed away and she and her sisters went to live with her grandfather. He tried to care for the girls, but they were very young and not able to help as much as he needed. He brought the girls to Mustard Seed Communities Zimbabwe when he could no longer manage their care. He has since passed away and they have no other known family.
